Hon Ruth Achen, Minister of Health, today met with a section of the Diaspora in Switzerland, on the sidelines of the World Health Assembly. The Minister thanked the members and commended them for their commitments and contributions, not just to their work at the International Organisations, but took note of their contributions to the national development of their home country through the various initiatives in investment. She underscored the need for patriotism and unity as a precursor to development.

The discussions focused on a wide range of issues; from health to investment in physical and human capital, brain drain, the flow of knowledge and technology back to Uganda and how the diaspora can work with government to ensure a valuable outcome.
