The Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Hon Betty Amongi Ochom yesterday delivered a double statement at the ongoing ILO  112th Session of the ILO. On the behalf of NAM, Hon Amongi  called for an immediate ceasefire and end to war in order to avert the plight of the Palestinian people, enduring hard conditions under the Israel led offensive.

Her statement on behalf of Uganda emphasised the need for global solidarity and responsibility, sharing with developing countries through fair trade terms, financial architecture reform, investments and promotional of economic and social transformation.

She called for enhancement of  North-South-South-South and triangular cooperation in supporting national efforts to eradicate poverty and hunger.
