On the occasion of the World Summit on the information society, The WSIS +20 Forum High Level Event, 2024 held on 27th May 2024, the ITU awarded NITA-UG the digital Design Special Price 2024. Uganda stood out as a prime example of excellence in digital transformation. It showcases a success in transforming a service that enables digital authentication, electronic signature and document sealing setting a high standard in digital government services globally.

During the award ceremony, PR, Ambassador Marcel R. Tibaleka reiterated governments commitment to continued development and support of UGPass to foster a secure and efficient digital ecosystem in our nation, Uganda.
