On 16th October, H. E Ambassador Marcel R. Tibaleka held a high level meeting at the Swiss Federal Office in Bern. He was accompanied by his deputy, Ambassador Arthur Kafeero and Counsellor Brian Mwesigwa.  The discussions with the Director of Africa and the Director of Protocol underscored the importance of strengthening bi-lateral relations between the two countries focusing on;

• Economic & Commercial Cooperation in Trade, Tourism and Investment

• Peace & security

• Refugees issues specifically pointing to the Global Refugee Forum (GRF) that is due to take place in December where Switzerland shall be the Co-host while Uganda,  the Co-convenor

• Human rights issues and the Anti-Homosexuality Bill.
